The Psalter is Israel’s hymnbook: lament, praise, thanksgiving, royal psalms, and wisdom. It trains the heart to speak to God in trouble and in joy, and it points ahead to the Messiah.

1Salmo di Cantico de' figliuoli di Core LA fondazione del Signore[è] ne' monti santi. 2Il Signore ama le porte di Sion, Sopra tutte le stanze di Giacobbe. 3O Città di Dio, Cose gloriose son dette di te.
