The Psalter is Israel’s hymnbook: lament, praise, thanksgiving, royal psalms, and wisdom. It trains the heart to speak to God in trouble and in joy, and it points ahead to the Messiah.

1Зняв я очі мої до тебе, живущий на небесах! 2Ось бо, як очі слугів на руку панів своїх, як очі служки на руку господинї своєї, так позирають очі наші на Господа, Бога нашого, аж помилує нас. 3Помилуй нас, Господи, помилуй нас!
